Meet our November Staff Spotlight…
Allison Greenwald
MSW, LICSW
Independent Practitioner at our St. Louis Park location
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Role in the practice: I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. Areas of focus include anxiety, depression, postpartum mood disorders, loss, high risk pregnancy, parenting, attachment, navigating developmental transitions, and stress management.
Favorite place I’ve visited: Capri, Italy!
Favorite place I’ve lived: Los Angeles but Minneapolis is a close second.
Hobbies and interests outside of work: Hanging out with my kids and my husband, baking, anything health and wellness, being out in nature, tennis and any form of exercise, movies, and books.
Ideal meal: Overnight oats with peanut butter, berries, banana, chia seeds and hemp seeds.
Cats or dogs?: I love both but dogs are my number one.
Favorite place in the Twin Cities: The Walker
Tip for self care: Breathe, take baths, exercise, eat well, take in nature and, most importantly, be kind to yourself.
A quote I love: “Number one in your life’s blueprint, should be a deep belief in your own dignity, your worth and your own somebodiness. Don’t allow anybody to make you feel that you’re nobody. Always feel that you count. Always feel that you have worth, and always feel that your life has ultimate significance.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
What I like best about my job: Everything! You know you’re in the right place when your job doesn’t feel like work. I learn so much from my clients and the community of women I work with. I feel very fortunate to be able to get up everyday and do what I love.
